Hero of Aethric FAQBy: Zeir, Trystan, Meny and Tempo on the official Hero of Aethric discord server. GeneralIs there a promo code? “ORNSORNSORNS” It provides you a free handful of orns which is the currency you use to swap up to the next tier of classes. Factions? There are four factions; Earthen Legion, Stormforce, Knights of Inferno, and Frozenguard. You may pick a faction once you reach level 10. If the decision is postponed, the player must restart the game for the decision page to be displayed again. You will receive a 25% boost to damage done and take 20% less damage from your faction’s element. You may only join kingdoms that share your faction. Factions can be changed by quitting your kingdom and purchasing the option from the store for $1. Which Faction should I pick??? There are four factions; Earthen Legion, Stormforce, Knights of Inferno, and Frozenguard. You may pick a faction once you reach level 10. I hate pressing the potions after battles to heal, is there a better way? Yes! If you are outside of combat and long press the menu that opens for the consumables, it will heal you to full starting with your lowest level potions* (there is an option in your game menu that will allow it to “over heal” you meaning it will waste some potion potential to allow autoheal to take you to full health/mana. How do I buy a pet? You can acquire pets from Bestiaries found in various cities. Eventually you will also be able to build your own in your Origin Town. Is there a guide to this game? There currently isn’t, however this is a game that shares a lot of info with the other Northern Forge Studios game Orna. Other than you’re in-game codex, you can find more info from the official Codex on https://playorna.com/codex/ or the unofficial guide at orna.guide has the best database for systems in this game. Orna Legends also has more written guides available for the game and class builds. How do I get more orns? Aside from the achievements mentioned above, there are many ways to boost the amount of orns you get from killing monsters/bosses:
Note: these orn bonuses from coins, shrines and gear do not apply to Arena rewards, End of dungeon rewards and Raid rewards. How long is the day/night cycle? It appears to be roughly 40 minutes daytime and 20 minutes night for a day being an hour. Night cycle is from xx:25 to xx:45 every hour. I’ve seen “Tiers” mentioned, what exactly does that mean? A “tier” is basically just a block of levels for unlocking access content like Classes, specializations, pets, gear and new areas on the map.The tiers are typically indicated by a number of stars and then after tier 3 they are indicated by a star then a number. The tiers are as follows: How does Fishing work? Step one: get near water (I’ve found I usually have to be right on top of it). Step two: In your inventory select one of the fishing lines, this will take you into the minigame Step three: tap in the water to start the power meter and cast your line to any distance (it really doesn’t matter a ton, but I’ve found casting closer seems to work better for me) Step four: Just wait, your character will jump when a fish appears but that doesn’t mean you do something, the fish will swim back and forth a couple times and will automatically catch when it runs into your bobber. This won’t always yield a fish, it will sometimes start a fight with a monster or catch an item. Am I able to use an emulator such as Bluestacks? Yes, for now it is not restricted in the terms of service, unlike the GPS based game Orna, which is a sister of this game. It does not use GPS features that could be abused. Classes/Specialisations X class sucks! I'm doing no damage. Every class has difficulties in some regard, however the majority of the problem is being under geared. If you are struggling, you can step back to a lower tier area to look for higher quality gear, or place your existing gear in the blacksmith to improve its level. Another useful tip is that for the first two levels of a weapon you can use a whetstone to instantly put it at level 2, followed up by a fine whetstone making it level 3. Which class is the best? All classes are great, early on some of them can be a bit of a struggle at the start due to their own respective weaknesses, however, regardless of the challenge, they all become powerful. If you are having any trouble with the specific class, feel free to ask for support in the discord for recommendations. Which Specialization should I pick? The first specialization you pick is free, after that they will cost orns. It's a very common practice to ignore the weaker tier 3 specializations and wait until you reach tier 5. Skills and bonuses you get from the specialization are temporary and will be lost when you change specialization again. As far as which specialization you should pick, if you still haven't decided after reading the above information, feel free to ask which the community feels would work well with your respective class. I'm too low on orns to get my new class when I’ve entered a new tier! Early on in the game it is very easy to tier up faster than you can class up. Just stick to areas you feel comfortable, continue to fight monsters/bosses in the current area you are comfortable with until you acquire enough orns. A good way to get a large amount of orns is to accomplish achievements which is a trophy icon at the top right of the main menu. Some of these achievements can be accomplished fairly quickly. Ok, that’s cool and all but really how do I get more orns?
Note: these orn bonuses from coins, shrines and gear do not apply to Arena rewards, End of dungeon rewards and Raid rewards. How do I get skills? Every class you unlock shares its skills. You will be able to use them on any later class you acquire. There are also special skill shops that can be found in various cities where you purchase unique skills. How do I make my pets more effective or hit harder? Note: All values are additive, quality does not affect the act rate or state boost Class Passives: Valhallan Way: +1% Act, +55% Stats Valhallan Strength I: +3% Act, +65% Stats Valhallan Strength II: +7% Act, +110% Stats Valhallan Dissonance: +12% Act, +90% Stats (see below for health scaling) Specialization passives: Beastmaster: +5% Act, +50% Stats Tamer: +8% Act, +55% Stats Gear bonuses: (Arisen) Feral Staff/Sword/Claws: +7% Act (Arisen) Feral Hood: +15% Stats (All Pieces) Fey Dragon Armours: +2% Act (All Pieces) Fey Chimera Armour: +5% Act, +10% Stats Dragoon's Charm: +2% Act, +4% Stats Freyja's Charm: +4% Act, +10% Stats Beowulf's Charm: -5% Act, +25% Stats Adornments: Symbol of Doom: +1% Act, +2% Stats Bestial Eye: +1% Act, +1% Stats Items/Gear How do I find xxx Material? Items can be acquired multiple ways. The most reliable way is defeating monsters, however, you can also buy some from shops, dismantle gear, or pick them up off the ground. Where do I find a blacksmith to upgrade my gear? The first blacksmith is located in the city named Svarga which is south-east of Loton. When you have acquired enough materials you will also be able to build one for yourself in your origin town. I see my equipment has slots in them, how do I put things in them? You can visit a Jeweller shop which will have the option for adornment. Can I trade in this game? In your Origin Town after performing enough story quests, you are able to create a Trading Post. When you use the Trading Post you provide it an item, In return you will randomly receive an item another player has offered that is equivalent quality and tier. There is no direct way of trading. How long does it take to upgrade gear in the blacksmith? How do I masterforge/demonforge/godforge equipment? Masterforge: To masterforge an item, you need to find an alchemist in Lythryn. “Masterforging” is similar to upgrading an item to level 11. Doing so requires the item be level 10, as well as 1 million to 100’s of millions in gold and (item’s quality %)3 for materials. So a perfect 200% Ornate item will require 600 materials. Masterforing is instant and will replace the “Ornate” quality in the item’s name with “Masterforged”. It will also increase the item’s quality by +1%. A 200% Ornate will become a 201% Masterforged item. Demonforge: To demonforge an item, you need to go to Balor Forge. “Demonforging” is similar to upgrading an item to level 12. Doing so requires the item be masterforged, and costs 10’s of millions to over 1 billion gold in a very wide range, and (item’s quality %)6.66 for materials. So a perfect 200% Ornate item will require 1,332 materials. Demonforging is instant, and will replace the “Masterforged” quality in the item’s name with “Demonforged”. It will also increase the item’s quality by +1%. Godforge: After the demonforge has occurred on an item and when you are in tier 10, you will have a chance to encounter arisen gods such as "Arisen Thor, the Storm God" upon reaching the end of a gauntlet. When an arisen god has been defeated there is a very low chance that your demonforged gear, while worn, becomes godforged. I have started a quest that wants me to use a diluted mnemonic in search of an amity but I don't know what to do. You must search for unique glowing structures with blue npcs around them. They are found around the world map. If you have any, you can use explorer's waystones to activate a compass marker to help point you in the right direction. Just note, that the compass marker does not instantly update and can point a bit off course at times. How do I get more Diluted Mnemonics? You can receive them at the chapel in Athantia. When you have progressed enough you also will have the option to build one in your Origin Town. Monsters/Bosses I can't find xxx boss! Bosses can be found in the relevant tier areas. A new boss will appear after you finish one off. It's random as to which of the local bosses will appear after the kill. Some bosses are restricted to special areas like the water or in dungeons as well as as being others locked behind story quests. Where can I find fallen xxx monster? The fallen monsters for the early quest are located in the Lythryn woods. They are quite rare and will require a good amount of time to find. If you have a friend available to assist you, you can attempt a tier 3 party dungeon. Party dungeons have multiple monsters appearing per floor. Help! All the monsters/bosses around me are berserk and I can't win! If you are not in a party, you may invite another player to a party. This will form a new "instance" which replaces all the monsters, bosses, items, etc. that are in your surroundings. If you are in a party, you can leave it to return to your home instance, or you can request support from others in the discord to help you win. Gauntlets / Dungeons How do I get a gauntlet key? Gauntlet keys are best acquired by defeating bosses that appear beginning in tier 3 (Level 50+). Not all bosses drop the keys. I'm unable to beat a dungeon! Some dungeons, such as "A Mushroom of Perilous Visitation" in Great Plains north of Loton Woods have an option you can enable to lower the tier to a level you can handle. KingdomHelp, my kingdom gauntlet has picked a monster that I am confident I can not beat. If you notify an officer/leader that your fight is not winnable, they have the ability to shuffle the battle to a Why does this game not have kingdom wars like in Orna? This game has been designed to be played more casually. The decision to bring back kingdom wars and other competitive features may be considered at a future point. Why can't I join a raid in my kingdom? Before you are able to attempt a raid in the kingdom there is two things to take note of. First, you must have been in the kingdom for at least 24 hours. Second, the raid has to have been activated by the Officers/Leader of the kingdom. I am in or running a kingdom, but how do I level it so we have access to more/better raids? Kingdoms are leveled by kingdom quests, at current notes from dev, it is around 15 quests/level NPCs Where do I find X NPC? NPC's rotate every 6 hours with a 50% chance for each to spawn somewhere in their respective tier zone or town. You can use the inn such as Rose's Rest in Vinland to help you locate NPCs by checking for information for 1000 gold. Map/Location Where do I find the arena? The first arena can be located at the top right of the Fen Lagoon. It is towards east of the Great Plains. How do I get to Onogoro? At the far bottom of the map in Meropis there is a little ferry(ship) towards the south east that can bring you over. To return from Onogoro there is a dock at the bottom of an island that will return you to Meropis Is there a map of Aethric? Yes please check our mapping section on Orna Legends here: Aethric Map Bugs/Troubleshooting Help I made a purchase and didn't receive it!
