Dominate your world
What makes Orna worth playingImmediately upon starting the game you'll find a distinct lack of something: ads! Crazy in modern times, but for Orna and its single developer Odie, the monetisation strategy has proved perfect. Zero adverts are the first win for gamers, the second is zero pay-to-win either, with an in-game runeshop that caters only for additional sprite packs (let's call it micro-transactions), and yes there are shrines available to purchase that increase your progress minimally, but these are easily available in the in-game world anyway. Orna mixes the classic fantasy RPG elements and turn-based combat with the relatively new tech of GPS gaming and it works amazingly well. This has established a decently sized player base with typical backgrounds from RPGs, but also from newer games like PokemonGO, where the GPS related content is rivalled and arguably bettered in many ways by Orna's one man dev team. So if you've come across this post without ever trying the game for some reason I highly recommend downloading it and giving it a blast, be sure to head back here for strategies and guides to help you conquer your local domain! The point of this websiteHaving logged a good bit over 100 days of playing time over the last 12 months across at least two accounts, and currently at the time of writing am only 2 levels away from max, I'm looking to now share my knowledge and understanding of the game to all players. There's heaps of blog posts, guides, builds and strategies arriving here soon, catering to all levels of game progress. There's certainly useful information available to you regarding the game, with a helpful main discord and Orna Guide (which I will undoubtedly be referring to regularly), but I've noticed there's a decent gap of player made content for the game that's easily consumable. Of course not everyone is actively on discord either, so there's a definite hole to fill for players to learn more about the game. My plan is to fill that gap with Orna Legends, and maybe on YouTube. Whether you and your kingdom are struggling to defeat The Morrigan, or you need some tips on gearing to overcome your current tier wall, or even if you've only just managed to take down your first local Bandit Lord, this is the perfect place to understand the game better and take your geo-location rpg experience to the next level. What can you expect from Orna LegendsTo start with there'll be guides and stuff loosely based under a limited number of categories, which I will endeavour to refine as we go along and there's actually content I've made that needs refining. I'll definitely be looking to engage with the Orna community and you, the reader on content you'd like to see, guides, builds, videos, etc. There's certainly a lot of knowledge that isn't easily available outside of kingdom chat and discord servers, which I'll be finding a home for here. Anyway the list below will be a rough indication of the content arriving to this site over the coming weeks and months.
As always please get in touch if there's anything specific you'd like help with in-game!
So that concludes my first ever blog post online - the finger is officially out - time to really get this site up and running and filled with quality Orna content for you glorious folk. Thanks for reading
